Short Term Rental Direct vs Futurestay

Checked 25 August 2026, against Futurestay's own published pricing and FAQ.

Futurestay is the closest comparison. It isn't a marketplace. It's direct booking software, the same category we're in, priced per property, with a dynamic pricing and channel management layer we don't build.

What Futurestay actually charges

Futurestay's own FAQ lists two plans. Flex starts at $20 a month and still charges $5 on every direct booking, paid by the guest or the host. Amplify starts at $55 a month and drops that fee to zero on both direct and connected channel bookings. Both plans pass through Stripe's own processing fees, 3 percent domestic and 4.5 percent international. That's the same processing cost this product's guests pay through your own Stripe account.

Futurestay figures are its own FAQ and pricing page, checked 25 August 2026.

For one or two quiet properties on the cheapest plan of each, Futurestay Flex at $20 a month plus $5 a booking is likely cheaper than our $79 Solo tier, unless you book often. The crossover depends on your booking volume, not just your unit count. Work it out with your own numbers before you pay either of us.

Who this page is not fair to

If channel management and dynamic pricing across several OTAs matter more to you than flat pricing, Futurestay does a job we deliberately don't do. This page comes from Futurestay's own published pricing, not a trial account. If something above is wrong or has changed, email hello@shorttermrentaldirect.com and we'll fix it.
